MICHAEL WHEELER
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Michael is responsible for business development, investment strategy, acquisitions, due diligence, financing, investor relations, and asset management. He has 25 years of experience structuring, negotiating, and managing private capital investments, including retail, office, and mixed-use real estate funds.
Prior to founding Volhawk, Michael was a director of private investments at Spinnaker Capital LLC in Boston, where he helped launch the firm, cultivated its initial growth, contributed to its development into an operation of institutional size and influence, and co‐led a transition to specialized roles as the firm became a Registered Investment Advisor. While at Spinnaker, Michael twice led the $87 million refinancing of a portfolio of 20+ retail properties. Prior to Spinnaker Capital, Michael spent five years as a tax professional with EY.
Michael holds a M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, M.S. and B.S. degrees from Bentley University, and is a licensed CPA in Massachusetts.


PHUONG VO
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Phuong is responsible for market analysis, deal sourcing and underwriting, loan terms evaluation, marketing, investor relations, and asset management.
Before joining Volhawk, Phuong spent five years as a private investments associate at Spinnaker Capital LLC in Boston leading due diligence and valuation analysis for private investments in real estate, retail services, information technology, healthcare, and other industries. She played a significant role in negotiating deal terms, reviewing legal documents, and closing transactions for several multi-million-dollar investments. Phuong also analyzed investment performance, managed the day-to-day activities of a team of analysts, collaborated with the firm's Managing Partner and IT manager to develop a proprietary database, and led efforts to streamline operating procedures.
Phuong holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in Finance from Suffolk University Sawyer Business School.
