MICHAEL WHEELER
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Michael is responsible for business development, investment strategy, acquisitions, due diligence, financing, investor relations, and asset management. He has 25 years of experience structuring, negotiating, and managing private capital investments, including retail, office, and mixed-use real estate funds.
Prior to founding Volhawk, Michael was a director of private investments at Spinnaker Capital LLC in Boston, where he helped launch the firm, cultivated its initial growth, contributed to its development into an operation of institutional size and influence, and co‐led a transition to specialized roles as the firm became a Registered Investment Advisor. While at Spinnaker, Michael twice led the $87 million refinancing of a portfolio of 20+ retail properties. Prior to Spinnaker Capital, Michael spent five years as a tax professional with EY.
Michael holds a M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, M.S. and B.S. degrees from Bentley University, and is a licensed CPA in Massachusetts.
PHUONG VO
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Phuong is responsible for market analysis, deal sourcing and underwriting, loan terms evaluation, marketing, investor relations, and asset management.
Before joining Volhawk, Phuong spent five years as a private investments associate at Spinnaker Capital LLC in Boston leading due diligence and valuation analysis for private investments in real estate, retail services, information technology, healthcare, and other industries. She played a significant role in negotiating deal terms, reviewing legal documents, and closing transactions for several multi-million-dollar investments. Phuong also analyzed investment performance, managed the day-to-day activities of a team of analysts, collaborated with the firm's Managing Partner and IT manager to develop a proprietary database, and led efforts to streamline operating procedures.
Phuong holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in Finance from Suffolk University Sawyer Business School.

Jay Hooper
Real Estate Consultant
Jay has over 35 years of experience in real estate investment, investment banking, brokerage, appraisal and consulting. He currently leads the origination and acquisition of government-leased cash flow investments and joint venture opportunities for Net Lease Capital. Previously, Jay was Managing Partner at Taurus Corporate Properties, a subsidiary of a global real estate private equity firm with approximately $3 billion of assets under management. Before Taurus, Jay was Managing Director of Equity at CRIC Capital and was Acquisitions Manager of multifamily properties at Corcoran Jennison. He has also worked on investment banking projects that raised $160 million of debt and JV equity capital for a senior housing campus development, and secured $80 million of debt to recapitalize an apartment portfolio. Jay received an A.B., Economics from Harvard University and a M.S., Real Estate Development from MIT. He is a member of the National Federal Development Association, serving on its Membership Committee. He is also a member of the Real Estate Finance Association.
Chris Argyrople
Independent Investment Advisor
Chris is an independent advisor providing unbiased & unpaid analysis to Volhawk's managing partners on real estate investments. His experience includes co-founding Triad Alpha Partners LLC, which assembled a portfolio of apartments & biotech space in the greater Boston area, and co-founding Delta Partners, a long-short equity fund which ultimately managed over $2.5 billion and had net returns during his tenure north of 40% annually. Chris began his career as the first full-time investment employee of Acadian Asset Management, which is now publicly traded under the ticker BSIG, and he was an equity analyst at PAR Capital Management. Since 1997, Chris has been a Finance Professor at Boston College where he teaches investment classes to graduate-level students. Chris obtained a B.S. in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and earned a M.S. in Management from MIT. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
David Giangrasso

David has a broad-based commercial and residential real estate practice with substantial experience in commercial lending; commercial real estate leasing; acquisitions and dispositions of various asset classes; issuing title insurance and resolving title disputes; construction, development and permitting matters; creation of condominium and homeowner associations; and representation of buyers, sellers, lenders, and borrowers in connection with the conveyance and financings of residential properties. His practice includes a breadth of knowledge regarding general business, corporate and commercial matters, commercial property foreclosures, and the creation and operation of various business entities including trusts, limited liability companies, and corporations. David received an A.B. from Harvard University and a J.D. from Georgetown University.
